I have been a firefighter with the MHFPD since April of 2019 when a few close friends convinced me to join the team. Outside of being a volunteer first responder in our community, I work full-time as a Consultant Underwriter for Nationwide E&S/Specialty Insurance.
I grew up in Northern Illinois, spent some time in Kansas City and Chicago after college, and then relocated to California and Arizona for a while before finally deciding to settle down with my family in Mokelumne Hill. My wife and I own a small business in town, Whoopsie Daisy located on Main Street. In addition to running our shop, my wife donates much of her time by helping with local events, and I am proud to serve with the fire department to help protect our community and respond to those in need. We have a son attending Calaveras High School, a daughter enrolled at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and our oldest son is working on obtaining his graduate degree in film at NYU. We are happy to call Moke Hill our home now and we are dedicated to serving our community.
