MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING – Motion by W. Killam to approve minutes, 2nd by S. Coe. 4-0; 1- Absent

TREASURER’S REPORT – Motion by W. Killam to pay bill’s in amount of $3,936.92. 2nd by S. Coe.4-0 1- Absent
FIRE CHIEF’S REPORT – see attached
OLD BUSINESS -None
COMMITTEE REPORT -
Paloma Station- W. Killam states that Paloma residents want a engine, but are having a hard time coming up with 6 firefighter’s.
Chief Cavalli stated that all he would like to see is 3 qualified Firefighter’s. He also states that he did not say anything about having to have 6 Firefighter’s.
Station 1- Nothing to report.
NEW BUSINESS –
1) Sue Coe has a person who is interested in doing the District Audit. She will get this person to come to the next meeting.
2) Mark Foley put in his resignation, and stated that he regretfully must leave due to not living in the Fire District.
3) Motion by W. Killam to accept Resignation from Mark Foley. 2nd by S. Coe. 3-0, 1 absent, 1- Abstained.
4) Motion by S. Coe to appoint Walter Wight as a Interim Board of Director. 2nd by W. Killam. 3-0, 1 abstain, 1 absent.

Events for the Month:
• Budget 07-08
• Training; Chief’s Association; FIU meetings
• Assisting other Fire District’s (JLFPD; SAFPD; JRFD) with training issues as well as getting our F.F. free training
• We had a (minor) vehicle accident with E-151 & a citizen’s car – insurance paid (approximately) $1,300.00 for damages
• Employee benefit update: vision; dental; life insurance; EAP; AD&D.
• Had a meeting with “Paul” from FASIS (worker’s Comp.) he went over our operations & policies – we appeared to have most everything in place, he will send out a complete report.
• Working on the “Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service (DRMS) program again
• We had several FFs attend 2 days at this years wildland academy; 1 @ a “live burn” training session in JLFPD; 1 attend an ICS-300 class JLFPD; 4 attending ICS-200 @ SAFPD (on-going until July 24)
