Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighters’ Association
March 16th 2009
Called to order: 1809 by Michelle Roeber, President
Members present: Michelle Roeber, Mark David Ksenzulak, Heather Willats, Lynne Greer, Debbie Shore, Mike Moran, Chat Soule (late arrival). A quorum is present.
Previous Meeting Minutes: There were no minutes from February. Heather is very unhappy with her computer.
Treasurer’s Report: Checking: $11,690.21, Savings: $3,845.94, 6mo CD: $5,278.46, 12mo CD: $11,082.45. Total: $31,897.06.
Chat would like reimbursement for the trees and irrigation supplies he purchased out of the station improvement budget item; in the amount of $ 114.15. Motion to approve the treasures report and payment of all bills or reimbursements by Debbie Shore; 2nd Lynne Greer. Unanimous vote.
Old Business: Fireman’s Ball thank you post cards have been ordered; just waiting for list of names.
Don Nuccio is resigning his bid to join the association, he asked Mike Moran to convey his apologies. He has too many things happening.
New Business:
2009-2010 budget and narrative discussed. Exact numbers for training are not included as the Chief has been in Mexico for 2 months and the sheets are locked in his office. Mark will meet with him next month when he returns and get specifics. Motion to approve budget and attached narrative with numbers forthcoming for training Heather Willats, 2nd Mike Moran. Unanimous
Mark David typed up and distributed a new contact list for the association.
4th of July: Discussed different types of food we might want to sell. Possibly nachos and hot dogs. Need to check with Hotel to see what they’re doing. Know the Lions will have Brauts, don’t want to sell the same things. Need to discuss having a band with the Lions as well; want to be sure that is included in road closure. Believe the patio next to Moke Hill Nuts is the perfect spot. Will ask the Browns if they would loan us the space that day.
