Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighters’ Association

Called to order: 1808 by Stephanie Truelsen, Vice President
Members present: Mark David Ksenzulak, Heather Willats, Lynne Greer, Debbie Shore, Mike Moran, Lila Serros, Stephanie Truelsen, Pauli Greer, Brenda Brown. Quorum is present.
Previous Meeting Minutes: Minutes from March 2009 read by H. Willats. Motion to approve minutes as read Mark David Ksenzulak, 2nd by Debbie Shore. A unanimous vote.
Treasurer’s Report: Checking: $11,580.87, Savings: $3,845.94, 6mo CD: $5,278.46, 12mo CD: $11,082.45. Total: $31,787.72.
Training #’s were received from Skip and budget is ready now. Motion to approve treasures report and revised budget by Mike Moran, 2nd Brenda Brown. Unanimous.
Old Business: Firemen’s ball thank you cards went out in the mail.
4th of July: Stephanie attended a meeting with Lions members to discuss the 4th Volunteered us for advertising. Committees were formed for the 4th as well, they are:
Bar: Stephanie, Brenda, Debbie
Food: Michelle, Brenda
Discussed hiring Mojo and Tess again to play for a few hours after the parade to try to keep people in town a little longer. Tess quoted $400. Motion to approve up to $400 to hire Mojo and Tess for the 4th, with efforts to find donations to try to reduce that cost, Heather Willats 2nd: Brenda Brown. Unanimous.
Also discussed building of new bar and possibility of having a beer garden this year. Will discuss again next meeting. Need to price wood.
New Business:
Need to invite representatives from the Lions to our next meeting to work out details on advertising etc.
