Called to order: 18:10 by Sloane Dell’Orto, President
Members present: Sloane Dell’Orto, Mike Dell’Orto, Heather Willats, Mark David Ksenzulak, Allison Valiquette, Deserae Rosenthal, BJ Wallace. A quorum is present.
Previous Meeting Minutes: Minutes from December 2006 meeting read by H. Willats. Motion to approve the minutes as read, Mark David Ksenzulak, 2nd Deserae Rosenthal. Unanimous.
Treasurer’s Report: Checking: $4,890.16. Savings: $1,882.64. Total: $6,772.80
Bills to pay: Need to send %50 ($600.00) to the band for Fireman’s Ball. Need to make out a check to the Veterans for funds raised at Oktoberfest for $1,960.37.
Motion to approve payment of all bills and the treasurers report as read: Heather Willats, 2nd Mike Dell’Orto. Unanimous.
Old Business: Fireman’s Ball update: Going to try to get local businesses in town to sponsor the band this year since the cost is $1,200.00. Heather to ask Tracy at the Mercantile for a donation towards that.
New Business: Sloane would like reimbursement for Course Compass. Provides on-line training for FF’s. 12 lifetime subscriptions at $26.00 each. Mike Dell’Orto motion to approve re-payment of $312.00 out of the Library/Study materials fund, 2nd Mark David. Unanimous.
Joyce Peek talked to BJ about the upcoming fundraiser for the town hall renovations. Randy Sparks will be hosting a concert in May. She wanted to know if we could help. BJ will go to the meeting in April to ask what Joyce needs.
Will be discussing 2007/08 budget at the next meeting. Mark would like to purchase QuickBooks using the funds on the office supply budget item. Motion to approve Mark David, 2nd BL Wallace. Unanimous.
Sloane brought up training fund category; firefighters have not been spending. FF’s receive $5.00 credit per training attended, previously to be spent on something fire related and left at the station in the event of departure. Discussed paying firefighters twice a year as the District does for fire calls. Mark David would want to zero out twice a uyear as well. Decided that would be too much like earned income and might cause tax problems. Discussion ensued about how to repay FF’s for earned time. Motion to approve letting FF’s purchase whatever they wish with the money and submitting receipts for reimbursement up to amount in their training fund, items would not have to be fire related or left at the station, Mark David, 2nd BJ Wallace. Unanimous
