Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighters’ Association
(Amended) April 16th, 2008
Called to order: 18:10 by Sloane Dell’Orto, President
Members present: Mark David Ksenzulak, Heather Willats, Michelle Roeber, Stephanie Truelsen, Sloane, Dell’Orto, Mike Dell’Orto. A quorum is present.
New Member: Chat Soule re-joined and paid dues.
Previous Meeting Minutes: Minutes from March 2008 meeting read by Heather Willats. Motion to approve the minutes as read with the correction of Brenda Brown’s name, Mark David, 2nd Stephanie Truelsen. Unanimous.
Treasurer’s Report: Checking: $ 9,553.28, Savings: $3,841.60, 12mo CD: $10,888.52, 6mo CD $5,205.53. Total $29,488.93
No bills to pay at this time. Motion to approve treasurers report Stephanie Truelsen, 2nd Mike Dell’Orto. Unanimous.
Old Business: No meeting set for park memorial item to D due to scheduling. Mike Dell’Orto suggests that maybe the parks has a wish list for an item that we could purchase in Deirdre’s honor.
Constitution: The committee had a good meeting, found paperwork and got that organized. Came to several agreements regarding the revision/re-writing of the constitution, however, the talks are still in progress. Mark David reports that the files still need some reorganization. Perhaps old docs could be preserved in fire proof safe, etc. Mike Dell’Orto suggests perhaps we could buy cabinet and donate it to historical society and let them catalog and keep safe. Mike to research safes.
Committee formed to go through old files: Mark, Sloane, Stephanie, Heather, Michelle and Mike. Will come up with date to meet via e-mail
Per Chat, hole for flag pole is finally dug.
New Business: Chat would like to do some planting around the fire house. Would like to plant 4 trees and finish some plumbing. Trees are $10.00 a piece at WalMart. No budget item at this time. Motion to support up to $150.00 for purchase of trees and irrigation supplies as well as move monies frm the cades program into a new budget item labeled “station improvements”, Mike Dell’Orto, 2nd Mark David. Unanimous in 1st vote of 3 required meetings.
Next meeting to be held May 21st, 1800 hrs at Wendell’s
