Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighters’ Association

Called to order: 18:04 by Sloane Dell’Orto, President
Members present: Sloane Dell’Orto, Mike Dell’Orto, Heather Willats, Mark David Ksenzulak, Michelle Roeber, Mike Moran, Ryan Clevenger, Debbie Shore, Stephanie Truelsen, Brenda Brown. A quorum is present.
Previous Meeting Minutes: Minutes from November2007 meeting read by M. Roeber. Motion to approve the minutes as read, Mark David, 2nd Debbie Shore. Unanimous.
Treasurer’s Report: Balances as of November 14th are: Checking $3,790.99, Savings: $3,838.08, 6 mo CD: $5,120.92, 12mo CD: $10,643.61 for a total of $23,284.60. No changes noted. Bills to be paid for purchases made are: $99.95 for mokehillfire.org domain renewal, $40.70 reimbursement to R. Clevenger for purchase of banner rope. Additionally, the Assoc printer needs ink, $100.24 = shipping from Dell, out of the office supply budget item. Motion to approve treasurers report; M Roeber, 2nd B. Brown. Unanimous.
Old Business: 3rd vote to approve moving funds for Oktoberfest, M. Ksenzulak, 2nd D. Shore. Unanimous
Christmas: Caroling and candy canes were a success. Would be nice to get organized to do a toy drive for next year. Fireman’s Ball update: Found an 80’s band, Total Eclipse, out of Walnut Creek for $600. They are sending contract for signature and will need $100 deposit.
New Business: Discussion of donating $200 from the community fund to the college fund for Deirdre’s kids. Motion to approve, Mark David Ksenzulak, 2nd D. Shore.. Unanimous. Additionally discussed the fact that the fund raising efforts for the playground equipment in the park was mainly Deirdre’s driving force and that the community should continue the efforts; and thusly the equipment should be dedicated to her in loving memory. All agreed.
Former board member Beth Stanton’s son Mike was in an accident. He has been hospitalized for a while and will undergo extensive rehab. Motion to approve $100 cash and a $4.00 for a card to the Stanton’s, D. Shore, 2nd M. Moran. Unanimous
Elections for 2008 officers were held and the results are as follows:

Vice President Mike Dell’Orto
Treasurer: Mark David Ksenzulak
Secretary: Heather Willats
Next meeting to be held January 16th, 6:00 at Wendell’s. ( Note, January meeting consisted of Fireman’s Ball Meeting).
Christmas: Mokelumne Hill open house is December 16th. Tentative plan is to have 3 crews on engines for Christmas caroling and handing out candy canes. Special meeting will be held on December 11th.
