Called to order: 18:03 by Michelle Roeber, President
Members present: Heather Willats, Debbe Shore, Stephanie Truelsen, Michelle Roeber, Mark David Ksenzulak, Mike Moran, Mike Dell’Orto. Quorum is present.
Previous Meeting Minutes: Minutes from August 2009 read by H Willats. Motion to approve minutes as read Lynne Greer, 2nd by Debbe Shore. A unanimous vote.
Treasurer’s Report: Checking: $6,651.58, Savings: $3,848.11, 6 mo cd: $5,314.16, 12 mo cd: $11,188.81. Total: $27,002.66. Bills to pay; need check for Chat Soule for reimbursement of trees out of the station improvement budget item in the amount of $54.38. Motion to approve payment off all bills//reimbursements and the treasurer’s report as read by Debbe Shore 2nd by Stephanie Truelsen. Unanimous vote.
Old Business:
Stephanie Truelsen donated $100.00 and Michelle Roeber donated $50.00 towards Mojo and Tess last 4th of July, thus absorbing some of the costs from the 4th even further.
New Business:
2nd order of shirts are in for those who didn’t get one on the 4th. Additionally, we ordered more hats, in blue this time.
Mike Dell’Orto is wanting to use some station improvement funds to install the bell from the 1800’s on the roof of the fire house. We have $1300 in fund and he plans to use a couple hundred, will provide receipts. Motion to approve up to $500.00 H. Willats, 2nd. M. Ksenzulak. Unanimous.
As trustees of the Deirdre Donovan-Blood memorial fund, Mark David reports that $1500 in scholarships will be distributed soon. Three $500.00 scholarships will be honored this month.
Tyler Fullerton a grade school student at Avery Middle School is trying to raise funds to go to Wash DC. The cost is $1,899 per student. Tyler is fund raising to send himself there and sent us letter requesting donations. We have ability to do $25.00 without voting, we will do that and those of us willing to donate personally can do that too. Motion to approve $25.00 Mike Dell’Orto, 2nd H. Willats. Unanimous vote.
